O baixista John Taylor, do Duran Duran, diz que foi um "pesadelo" ter trabalhado com Timbaland no álbum "Red Carpet Massacre", de 2007.

Em entrevista ao site Quietus, o músico falou que a ideia de unir o grupo ao produtor foi da gravadora Sony. "Todo o projeto foi um maldito pesadelo. Entregamos um disco com sonoridade natural, quase rock, e eles falaram: 'precisamos de algo pop, importam-se em fazer umas músicas com o Timbaland?'"

no offense to timbaland or jt....im not even a duran duran fan so its not like i am picking sides but my point is it sounds like they just made a hip hop/pop album and it sounds like any other song on radio and has no unique qualities that would resemble the fact that it is duran duran....sounds like regular old digital poop that is on the radio.

TimerDuo never had a clue to what Duran was/is about. To them music is just fastfood. Yea fills you up right ehre and now but will it leave a lasting impression ... ten years from now ppl will say Timbwho? Even Simon admits that album was a mistake. It didint give them any new fans. They banked on fact that TTduo s fans were as loyal as their own. The hardcore Duranies? yea we bought the album, but "no comment" Bless em for trying but sorry nah.
