Boston (Mass) T Snapshots1

A selection of sequences from my 1998 visit to Boston (Mass).

Included are the 'trakless trolley' buses in the tunnel at Harvard, the Blue line at the old Airport station switching between overhead wire and third rail, Red line trains on the Charles bridge and Green line streetcars at various locations - one of which I feel sure has been replaced with a section of subway.

Apologies for the 'crackly' sound.

Was the station in bhe beginning formerly a trolley station?

@adelgado75 Do you mean the one with the buses travelling through tunnels? That is Harvard, home of the famous university.

The Harvard Bus Tunnel was originally used by streetcars but now buses and trackless trolleys. Harvard station is also served by the Red line subway.

well its not relly rare but the flyer trackless trolleys are gone the greenline el is gone the blue line 0600's are just about gone and the old blue line stations and most of the rts buses are gone

actually, there r some quite a bit of RTS buses running around some in Quincy and the rest somewhere north and north west of boston. great video as always

Excellent and classic, to further Sieman700s point everything looking north(towards the h'way) from the north station platform is gone! The bldgs on the right, the h'way(part of the infamous big dig) The Boston Garden arena on the left and the el and station itself are now underground.
