Acer? That's a completely different thing. This video is about an Eee PC.
By the way, I don't actually own an Asus EEE PC, but I've just recently bought a 1000HA from Amazon. Waiting for it to come in my mail.

I had just bought it a month ago and i played FOT for about 8 hours on it (not in one piece, more like 2h, 2h, 2h...)
It's only an acer laptop that breaks down after a month! Dont buy that crap!
Now i got an Asus gamer pc and I play Fallout 3 and ut3 on it without problems :-))

How long have you been playing it?
It could have just been a coicidence. Nothing lives forever, and that includes notebooks as well.

Really? Mine broke down as i was playin fallout tactics (sys. req: 64mb ram, 300MHz graphic 4mb) but it was a f***king acer shit! (Aspire One 1.6ghz, 160gb...)
Never buy acer guys, please do me and yourself that favor!!

How exactly can a netbook overheat from playing a a very low-requiring game? The EEE 2G Surf (weaker than the EEE in the video) has about 512 mb ram, intel 900 mhz CPU (underclock to 600).
And that's a LOT more than Q3A needs to play, which is: 64 mb RAM, pentium II 266mhz, graphics: 4 MB
Compare it to the EEE pc's specs...
It uses a very low amount of power in the processor and RAM. It could only overheat if you played it for 6 hours, and your battery would run out LONG before that.

I wouldn't do that... Netbooks can fastly turn too hot and destroy themselves!
It works for 5minutes but not for an hour!

mine wont work i click on quake 3 demo and it show the blue screen thing with all the words and stuff....and then the screen gos black and then it gos bac to the blue thing again and it says "Q_strncpyz: NULL src

I got 40 FPS, at 800x600 High Quality (this is on the original Eee, probably would run faster with newer Intel Atom CPU)
