So the Asian lady who is one of the groupies is Maurissa Taucheroen, who is also married to another of the writers, Jed Whedon, and thus is Joss and Zack's sister-in-law.

The two news anchors are David Fury and Marti Noxon, who were writers on Buffy, and both also had singing parts in that series musical episode "Once More With Feeling," written & directed by Joss of course.
