You want to compare education? How educated are you? I have a bachelors in business management and a bachelors in psychology and starting on my masters. So please do not question my education. Yes, my husband is a blaster and that is his job. If you want to pay my bills, support my kids, and support me and my husband then by all means he can quit!
-
@blasterswife most miners don't even make 6 figures and they're the most important part of a billion dollar industry who's being exploited here it's us the people of this region are just seen as cheap labor for some capitalist from new york or some other far off place they don't care about you or anyone in your family that's a miner they only care about cheap labor and a quick money
-
@blasterswife the ignorant one here is you you've probably not been educated and you've got a king hair up your ass because your husband is a coal miner i'm not against miners they're just trying to put food on the table but they should be 100% against MTR because it poisons their homeland there was once a coal slurry spill that contaminated 100 miles of the big sandy river with chemicals that are toxic to human the miner don't even make what they should the CEOs make all the damn money
-
Yeah, a little girl states "these coal mines are making us kids sick" powerful story but doubtful.
I think it is probable that the processing equipment so close to the school is a bad idea, but dramatizing the facts weakens the arguments to anyone who wants to focus soley on the facts of the situation.
-
Ed, God bless you for doing what's right by your granddaughter and all the people of your community! Keep up the good fight!
-
Blasterswife,
How ignorant YOU are for not looking up the facts for yourself!
-
How IGNORANT They are repeating what their parents and grandparents are saying. Tears always lie kids always Lie These are kids Lord you come and get them once and then it will become a habit.
-
Powerful story and sad -

dudes got POINT!! i just hope either obama /hillary will get this sorted for u!! its a shitty deal but fight the man on it mate!! like one of my pals tells me when he fights his job union 2 there`s alot of them , but there more of us "
That is heart wrenching. That coal company should pay for the new school! They make enough money from tearing the earth up.
I'm going to donate some dollars at that charity website. This pisses me off!!!

A little known tidbit: Bank of America funds the coal company that causes Ed Wiley's community these problems. Maybe we should all call BofA CEO Ken Lewis.
