Its a soap they put on the blades to keep them smooth and reduce friction. It's really expensive.

Just recently, I saw the helicoptor take off, right in front of me, its not something you get to see that often, thanks for the video, doesn't make me so homesick now...

Antelope Valley Hospital, the place I was born. Antelope Valley Lancaster, CA, born and raised... I'm now in Bakersfield CA, which is quite far from the A.V. Oh how I miss my home town....... :'(

today i was interning at JFK Hospital in I dio Ca. an i was able to get up close to the Mercy Air helicopter while we were lifting a patient from the ER into the helicopter and it was amazing seeing it take off and feeling the wind from the rotors...

@Medic83301 im sorry to tell u thats not no bell 430 that a bell 222ut i know i fly a 430..
That is Mercy Air 14 out of Mojave. It could have been my husband flying...I'd have to look at the work calendar. He does fly into AV often (and he also thinks the SUV is annoying. If you get too close, a windshield could break...or you get some nice pits in the paint. If the blades are rotating enough to get airlift, they are generating enough wind to pit a car that gets too close. People need to have more caution).

ya, i know, i've been in rotor wash (luckily with helmet and visor down, but still). they need better security to prevent such matters. Thanks for your comment!
