@blackelk7373 The Democratic Party is the party of the four S. Slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism. It seems like the Republican Party has been more stable. It mostly had a libertarian touch to it as well as the traditional conservative principles. The major change is the foreign policy.

@eric5335 You dont think the defenition of Democrat and republican have changed or do change often? What IS constant are people's principles. For instance, my principles are the exact opposite of someone like george bush or glenn beck. I believe our country should be doing better and to do so, you must build up the lower and middle class. They believe the country shouldnt be doing better at the expense of the lower and middle class. When the rich prosper, the rest of us take a hit.

@blackelk7373 Did you know that it was FDR (a democrat) who first defined the enemy combatants. And under his and Woodrow Wilson's (also a democrat) administration, Germans and Japanese were lined up and defined as threats.
