.... At least one of the ways they are going to be used by someone who might need them... I get that the point is to get rid of these skinny jeans that make you feel like you should look different from the way you are... But destroying them ( i dont think at least) has any more affect than just giving them away.

I'm sorry, but I do get the point, Which I believe has nothing to do with destroying a pair of jeans that can fit someone else who might need them. You can still feel good about getting rid of a pair of skinny jeans without destroying them. Getting rid of them forever either by throwing them away because they are cut in several pieces, or by giving them away

I think a more effective approach would have been to buy a pair of skinny jeans and ripping it up instead. That would have been a statement.
But this is still fucking kickass.

that would be an interesting take on the concept. But I'm broke and I think i would have less of an emotional bond with newly bought jeans as opposed to ones i have worn. thank you though!!!
