Slide show in honour of my spirited and brave, loving Mom...born at the end of World War One...lived through WWII..in one of the most devastated cities in Germany...married my father an artist 29 years her senior...and after his death, when I was only 5...she managed to retrain in night classes..with me as a latch-key kid...from fine artist...to teacher of art and biology...to provide a more stabel base for our survival...not an easy task...but she did it...Thanks!
Today, more than 4 years after I made this video...June 2011... my dear mother died at nearly 93 years of age...

  • I looked again to this BEAUTIFUL video, and it moves me so much ...

  • Thank YOU!!!

  • I see that the piece was composed by your uncle...

  • Thank you Rene!

I made this video for her for Mother's day 2 years ago.

As you can immagine it made her very happy...sadly she, now at nearly 91 years, is not doing well...Sad that all lives will eventually go that path...

  • hi Beeke

so sorry to hear just now about your loss...what a great tribute, very moving indeed.

  • My deep condolences...

    Scarlet

  • Hello Beeke: I was very moved with the tribute to your mom. You are lucky that you have such a collection of photos.

What is the music you play?

  • It is said that those who honor their mother shall live a long and prosperous life (long and prosperous in joy). This was such a touching video and homage to your mother. It appears your mom was able to stay focused on being a mother while the world went crazy with war. Peace
