NOTICE: ALL MOVIES THAT I DISPLAY ON YOUTUBE, I OWN. YES, I PAID $30/$35 PER MOVIE. SUCKS, BUT THAT'S WHAT IT IS. I AM NOT PROMOTING BACKING UP BLU-RAY MOVIES THAT YOU DO NOT OWN.

It's illegal, so please do not do it.

Thanks for watching. You are watching some clips of The Dark Knight blu-ray back up that I created using various free tools that are available online. I extracted the video off of the BD onto my hard drive, and it started out as a 26GB folder. After all of the work was done, the size of the file that I transferred to my Fat32 hard drive is 3.9GB. Crazy eh? Even more crazy is the fact that the quality of the video is still as good as the original! I cannot tell the difference between the back up HDD copy, and the disc copy. Hit me up and I will send you the details as to what I used, and provide any help you may need. I thought it couldn't be done after struggling for 2 weeks, but this is the end result. I am using a 50" 1080i Sony XBR TV and PS3 via HDMI. The youtube video was captured with my HD Sony camcorder. If you hear any clicks during the video playback, that's my old but trusty Western Digital hard drive working hard. This started out as an experiment, so I may have to upgrade my hard drive to something that runs more quiet.

  • why did one of the most greates movies of the summer have to get a crappy blue ray transfer I love this movie But I hate the way they did it it should be like the standerd deff dvd and not switch from fulll wide screen to letter box they should fix it

  • I agree. I didn't particularly like the back and forth switching, but you get so into the movie that you barely realize it is still switching after a certain point.

  • But how did you put the whole movie on ur fat 32 external without splitting it into 2 parts

  • Hey what's up Yankees. The movie was formatted down to approximately 3.9 GB. Fat32 will not allow for a file size larger than 4GB. Send me a private message if you need more detail. Thanks!

  • When backing up the hard drive, is the content you've bought from the PSN store also backed up or is there something that needs to be done first before backing up?

  • Good question Blake, however I am not sure about backing up the TS3 HDD. What I am doing here is backing up my blu-ray discs and saving to my HDD.

  • The Dark knight is an Excellent adventure and action packed movie, its in a league

of its own. Everytime I watch it on my Vizio 1080P. I get excited and hearing the thunderous bass coming out of my surround sound speakers. You got good taste with that movie one of my all time favorites. The Joker made the movie, in my opinion.
