Communism, as Marx and Engrls envisioned it, was the economic system of the apocalypse. After everything else had been tried and failed, communism would be the only choice left. Everything else would have killed itself.

Just for the record: The German National Anthem isn't called "Deutschland über Alles;" it's called "Das Deutschlandlied."

@Cauthon75 You describe evil acts, surely, but not Socialism. Read up on it maybe. Dictators can call themselves all kinds of things, including socialist, democratic, and republican. Have the freedom to decide for yourself what they are, but none of them have been socialist.

@wnxsilence It is class war, waged by those with enormous wealth, in order to maintain their power and privelege at the expense of others. I don't know about you, but in my opinion something is fundementally wrong when in our world of great material abundance, billions of human beings starve and die in the most miserable poverty. Today alone 27,000 children around the world will die of preventable causes. Capitalism is an unending genocide, and in my view a horrible tragedy for our species.
