  • is there a general rule of thumb to follow when making harmonies? as in the pitch distance that each vocal track is from the original? one octave? or do u just place the vocals according to what sounds best for the low, high and mid harmony? if anyone can help, feel free to reply pleasee!

  • yea nightwish))

  • Hi, just wondering, which melodyne is it?

  • Nightwish. <3

  • Thank you for this video but damn I am never listening to you talking again.

  • Is a country singer trying to sing a Nightwish song?!

  • I'm usuing Melodyne 3.2.2.2 as a plug-in through Sonar X1 Producer. I have a vocal track loaded onto Melodyne in order to correct some minor pitch drifts and add some layers. When I "ALT+SHIFT+DRAG" the desired blobs in order to create a harmony it ONLY plays the new layer and not the original. In the editing window I have it set to "Play Arrangement" so I shouldn't be having this problem right? Can anyone help me please!

  • @cglcon You can do this with other versions of Melodyne but not all in the same instance of Melodyne. You'd basically need one Melodyne window per harmony.

  • Great tutorial, was wondering if anybody knows if I can do this stuff on Melodyne Assistant, or does it have to be melodyne studio?

  • omg ?! ross?! is that u ?!
