Metaphorical Light (Merry Christ) is the tird in a trilogy of Christmas songs written on the afternoon of 4th December 2010 by Steve Mulford, Stephen Street and Daniel Wallis.

Each person recorded part of a song, emailed it to the next, who added to it then passed it to the last to finish it.

Stephen Street lit the candle,
Daniel Wallis watched it burn,
Steve Mulford blew it out.
