I didn't know there was video of this. I just remember looking north while driving down Atlantic Blvd and seeing the smoke rise into the air. Scary stuff.

Imagine if this happened near, say, New York City. A mushroom cloud- followed by a sonic boom and the immense pressure wave- rising behind the skyscrapers is seen by billions around the world, all fearing the worst.

The chaos and pandemonium, just due to misinterpretation, would be staggering, if not biblical. Like 9/11 on steroids.

i still remember this like it was yesterday. the place my husband works is right across the street. they heard a hissing noise, looked at each other like "wtf", and the next thing they knew they were picking themselves up off the floor, trying to dodge all the crap that was falling all around them, listening to explosion after explosion.
