@UnPlayedAThing I think the eyed shield still might be useful, because it freezes opponents.

@Greyfore Makes you think who was the first. =)

These video's always brighten the day :)

seeing this game has inspired me to buy odin Sphere. its not as good as Princess Crown but I'm really getting into it... SO PRETTY... the gameplay is frustrating and counter-intuitive at first but you sort of get used to it, and it gets easier when you are allowed to grind your stats and hoard items.

I'm just amused by the idea that you have a being called Shadow, that holds a gem that allows him to manipulate time and possibly space. Just makes me think of another being called Shadow that can manipulate time with a gem, a hedgehog with an emerald infact.
Just something that made me laugh.

Un has excellent commentary though, and really brings these old games to light the way they deserve. I remember Aquanuats holiday and how he was RPing in that aswell. All the fishes just swimming around to that music.... X3

Cool video, Un. I really need to get this game. :)

On the other hand, Un, I think your fight against Evil Golgoda was a nice example of roleplaying!
Id assume the dragon shield causes burn/fire dmg when you block, the spiky shield causes physical damage if you block. :) And i assume its too low damage to bother with it due to you not using it at all. Also why didnt shadow or bloody just conquer the castle with the help of the time gem? for a demon with powers over time itself youd think he would use them to be a god or something....X3

@MrYaotubo That's exactly right re: the shields' effects. I mostly skip them because they break very easily, and can't be protected from damage with GOM.

@LPwatcher Huh! Well, Princess Crown and Etrian Odyssey are both Atlus properties, so I guess they decided to reuse the character.
