This is a movie about how to drap a Roman toga, "republican" type. The movie was filmed by P. Memmius Albucius at Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegethusa during the VIth Conventus Novae Romae in Dacia with the contribution of T. Iulius Sabinus, Cn. Cornelius Lentulus and C. Vipsanius Agrippa. • Hi :)

How big is the cloth you used? Our Latin class will make a project, and we need togas.. thank you ;)

  • @Pfefferkatze

Ave! I sent you a private message because it seems I can't reply here including links. Success with your toga!

  • @IuliusSabinus Could you send me the same link? I'm attending a toga party at the end of the week and I was wondering how long the cloth needs to be and so forth. Thanks in advance.

  • @Andreipanus- It seems I can't post links here but I was able to fix it in the video description section. Enjoy!

  • It's kind of sad that this is the only video about authentic Roman togas. The rest are just college party barbaric junk.

  • I was thinking about wearing a toga when I take over the world. I love the classical look.

  • @CminorMaxG Magnum tempUS, domine. Quippe tempus nōmen neūtrum tertiae dēclīnātiōnis est.

  • QVAM MAGNUM TEMPUM!

  • In Libya there is a traditional woolen clothing which looks just like the Roman toga and it seems to be laid on in the same way. Perhaps you should travel there to get instructed by the people how to dress it.

  • my class is going to have a partie in roman and we have to wera a toga

  • For the toga to stay in place, was any part of it tucked into the folds in the back? I couldn't tell if it was left hanging. Thank you!
