This device really shines for things just like this and for backup vocal sounds

and as a vocoder. I got the Sly Stone "room fulla party people" backup vocals using this puppy and also some dynamite instrument harmonies like you see here.

There is a small learning curve to find the sweet spots and get used to it, but once you do it is indispensable particularly for home recording/small gigs

I've been using mine for a year and it's been worth every penny.
