  • LOL That's gentle persuasion was quite hilarious. "No, don't eat those. Go on, shoo. They are flowers.... please, don't eat those plants..." The mother moose looked up calmly, busily munching, as if to respond: "Thank you for growing this fresh, delicious salad. As you can see, I need the greenest, youngest, & most nutritious plants & leaves in order for me to have the energy... and milk ... to raise my demanding twins...."

  • @HenryDavidT Thank you for your insightful comments!Since you noticed my husband's gentle persuasion I'm not sure that you could hear my banging on the window and yelling "STOP EATING MY FLOWERS!" When my husband came inside from videoing them, I went outside, grabbed two baseball bats, banged them together and told her to "stop eating my flowers or I am going to turn off the sprinkler". She looked at me, walked over to her twins and directly lied down on our grass.Pix are on our channel.

  • are those moose your's?

  • @thechris2101 No, they are neighborhood moose. We have moose all around Anchorage that live in our neighborhoods. Thanks for the post!

  • Have the mooses ever tried attacking you guys?

  • @leotheguido No, the moose are generally comfortable in the yard. Mother's bring their young almost immediately after they are born to neighborhood yards to eat. The mother is very protective the first week . After that she is back to eating and building her stores back up from the previous winter. As long as we are not teasing or bothering them they don't bother us. Even dogs incessantly barking doesn't usually bother them unless the dog tries to nip at them. Thanks for the post!

OMG I am dying laughing at your husband!! Sounds like me trying to "lecture" my kitty not to jump on the counter...a totally futile effort! This is just FABULOUS!! YOU are SOOOOOO LUCKY!!!

  • i had similar thing with deer in michigan, i let then do what ever they wanted, it was great

  • Thank you for sharing these delightful videos and for sharing your garden and flowers with them. This is so sweet. I would be happy to plant a garden just to be able to share it with them. <3

  • Yum-Yum eat em up!

  • Moose mama: "This yard is the best! Fresh salad and clean water to drink.....and manicured soft lawn to sleep in. Humans know what moose like..."

  • We had a doe and some babies that lived in our woods and they had no regard for the fact that I was walking the dog. They were running across the street and if I was in the way, they would mow me down. I love these moose. They are so fun to watch. Thank you for sharing.

  • "A moose ate your flowers." Greatest excuse evarr!

  • LOL that was SO funny! nothing like showers first then lunch haha :) did you have any flowers left after all that munching? lol :)))

  • She looked up like "Yeah, ok buddy, keep telling yourself that" lolz
