Excessive speed was the main cause of this accident which took the life of the 17 driver of the Honda Accord. The driver lost control in the curve, crossing over the centerline into the dump truck. This happened September 1991 in the South Hill area of Puyallup on 128th street east near Reservoir road. The dump truck driver was not injured.

  • whats the song at the start.i like it

  • That's a audio clip from Mac's iMovie program. Sorry I don't remember it's name.

  • ....The driver of the car was a young high school student who would brag about how fast he could take the corner where the accident occurred. He lost control of his car, and slammed into this truck. The only blessing in this incident is that none of the other students(friends) he tried to pursuade to go with him would not get in the car with him. It was a horrible accident. I wish it would be taken off of YouTube. It is uncalled for, and a young man's life was taken unfortanetly.

  • This video is an excellent example of what not to do while driving. It teaches an ugly lesson that can be avoided.

  • I just want to set the record striaght on this video. I happen to know the driver of the dump truck - and it was obvious to everyone involved in the investigation that it was the car drivers error that resulted in this fatal accident. As you can see in the video - the dump truck driver never left his lane, and attempted to stop. He had been only going approximately 10 mph when this occurred. He had just turned onto the road. Also - it is a dozer on the trailer - not a backhoe.

  • No need to set the record straight. Did you take the time to read the video description? I wrote that the teen driver was the one at fault.

  • @Kyra0121

    obviosuly

  • FAIL PHYSICS fail life. As a earlier person who had posted this he is very right. The weight of a semi truck is around 45 tons. The weight of the honda about 1.5 tones.

while the truck was going only 10 mph, it was the speed of the honda that contributed to the death of the teen. In essance, a semi truck or even dump truck frame and engine will have almost no give to the collision of a car.

As often is the case, any car that hits a semi will absobe 80% of the crash impact crash

  • What happened to the honda? Betcha most of that could be buffed right out.

  • wow! there's no trees on that stretch of road anymore!.... just houses, the cars usually just go through a fence into someones backyard now, happens all the time.

    SLOW DOWN!!

  • ...yes...maybe...no I DON'T KNOW ALL I KNOW IS THAT SHE DIED OK!!!!!!!
