Paul McCartney Comerica Park Detroit 7/24/11 does Marvin Gaye's "Hitch Hike" & "The Night Before"

One of the best parts of seeing Paul perform live is all of the great stories he tells before each song. Here he pays a wonderful tribute to Motown, Detroit, and Marvin Gaye with "Hitch Hike". Also has "The Night Before" after this.

I was at this concert too! I loved his comment about all the girls screaming, and then when he says "I say that just to hear it". Bahahaha I'm so glad you got that on video!

@musicscifigirl I also liked when he brought up the reason they switch guitars so often... they do just to show off! lol Speaking of the screaming, there was another person who commented on another of my videos from that night and mentioned that they had gone to 2 shows in Cleveland in the 60s. I asked her how they managed to keep up the screaming for that long and that loud! Then again, if I didn't have the camera in front of me I probably could have yelled and screamed the whole time too!

This cover was fantastic for those of us fans who appreciated the Beatle's covers of motown artists back in the sixties, not to mention stuff like "Kansas City" and "Long Tall Sally." Hearing "The Night Before" live was a real treat as well. Awesome job on the vidas well; thanks for posting this!

@easy6scout1 Thanks! I meant to cut "The Night Before" as its own video, and I thought I clipped it off the end, but iMovie disagrees. So I spent last night trying to figure out why YouTube kept rejecting "The Night Before" as a duplicate... well... that's because it was a duplicate! lol Oh well.

OMG that was epic I was there with my mom and brother I was in section 24 row 13 seat 6 I was so excited to go! It was really fun! I'm 12 BTW we waited for the crowd to leave and some employee asked me if I had fun I was like YEAH!
