This is an excellent song. My best friend from high school, and room mate my first year of college, used to play this song. He was a great guy and a talented musician and brilliant student. Unfortunately, he passed away too young, after a long battle with brain cancer. Every time I hear this song, I think of John. I find myself thinking of this song when I go backapacking, and it reminds me of John and puts a smile on my face for being blessed to have known such a wonderful man.

Mountains and cold trout streams have mixed with my blood ever since I saw my first mountains that were in Pennsylvania. Dave Loggins came into my life as a young man seeking my own true nature and while ending up in Colorado in the early 70s. I now live in a mountain village with a population of 40 people. Somehow I think Dave would like it here.

This song captured my feelings while I was living in the beautiful New England Berkshires back in 1970s…listened to it often. Dave had a way of putting colorful lyrics to song. Thanks for posting the music and the superb video!

Thank you for posting this!! This song has always been a favorite of mine, but hasn't been on YouTube until now. It's on my iPod and gets played often. There are several great cuts on this album. Excellent video, by the way.
Thanks for the kind comment. Dave has always been one of my favorite singer/songwriters, and his album, "Good Side of Tomorrow," is one of my all-time favorites. I never could figure out exactly what caused him to disappear off the music scene, but I consider it a monumental loss.

Thanks for the compliment. It has always been one of my favorites as well, as has the album. Too bad it seems Dave has pretty much disappeared.
