This is a series that I call Ramping Up Fast. In this series I am going to give you tips, products and How To's so that you can ramp up your preparations quickly by getting the bare essentials.

Once we have the bare essentials in place, we can then start building on that foundation. Today I am going to talk about Ramping up on water and introduce to you the Berkey Sport Water Bottle

  • The waterBOB sounds like a better idea for families.

  • The dog is like, "Play with me. I've got this ball and you are here. Play with me or I'm peeing in the pool again." Back and forth, back and forth. Walks real slow sometimes to get his attention.

  • good review, I'm currently looking for a water filter. I'm just not sure if this or a katadyn would be my choice.

  • Survival for Christians .... great concept.

  • It does not rain here in the Los Angeles area for 9-10 months. We get all our rain from December to March. If there is a major earthquake and the water mains are broken then there is no water except what I have stored and what is left in the water heater.

I think a new, clean garbage can or green yard can would be more useful to store water, I would set it out in the sun to help sterilize it and I would also filter it.

  • @GTVAlfaMan Do like the hicks do and pull your tub out of your bathroom after the quake and put it in the front yard and you can still use the water bob, if you can still get water. 100 gal of water would just be so handy. I wonder if you could get ultra heavy FOOD grade bag to line your garbage cans with? That would be 35x2=70 gal for 2 garbage cans the average family has.

  • Dog walks by with a blue ball in his mouth! lol

  • Good video, I have a few of these bottles, but have not tried them yet. I appreciate you doing these test!

    Thumbs up video!~John

  • The chickens and dogs in the water would give some really nasty stomach effects - way to put it to the real test Ray!

  • Hi Ray. We've had an Auqua Rain 3 gallon gravity water filter for 10 years now, and it still works great. It's like the Berky. I'm going to order some sports bottles for my family members. Camping nuts. Thanks for the info. Suzerque
