I wish I could have done this song more justice, but still not as comfortable on the octave mandolin as I would like.

The classic Beatles-era George Harrison tune and one which Phil and I cut our teeth on as budding guitarists in our teens. We've always been major Beatles fanatics going back to when we were in diapers. The first tune I ever learned on any instrument was Yellow Submarine. George has always been one of our favorites and this tune should serve as a template for how to craft an intelligent rock or pop song.

A jam at our dad's on Thanksgiving so forgive any apparent warts.

My brother Phil has an excellent YouTube channel. Please visit!

  • Awesome. But what the hell is all that noise in the background. Would have been nice if they put it a sock in it (or turned off TV/radio)

  • It was a jam at our Thanksgiving dinner. Those were family talking in another room. A sock in the mouth would be a good idea for some of them :)

  • Wow, very impressive fingerwork on the mandolin. And the choice of song too! (5 stars)
