Bradd Morse, president of Canopy Tours, tests the new zipline on Catalina Island. Five legs combine for a run of more than 3,600 feet. The zipline is scheduled to open April 15, 2010. http://bit.ly/9mDaZu. (Myung J. Chun / Los Angeles Times).

  • california is the best state

  • I assume they're still working out the breaking (by the looks of the testing). Leg 2 looked like it hurt.

  • @TheEvanCole LOL...i went with my sister...it was her birthday too when we went.

  • @jainish007 Mine is an unlimited (Best of the Best) package. I.E. Para-sailing, rock wall, golf (full course) and mini golf, free golf cart to drive around, scuba diving, submarine, zipline tour, Anything you could think to do, one of the Best hotel's & room in hotel on the island including all travel for 2. $300/day not including shopping. $750 is a GREAT price. But It's my girlfriends (of 5 years) B-day the day we leave and had to pull out all the stops. Shopping included about $2500 a day :(

  • @TheEvanCole well i calculated $740 total cost for 3 days 2 night including travel fare, hotel cost, one skyline tour, parasailing and some other small activities and shopping for 2 people

  • @jainish007 Maybe just alittle. The package is 300 a night. I mean for Catalina that's expensive but when you think a normal hotel (not on the island) is almost double a night if not triple that price, its a steel. But either way was just throwing out that there are ways to get the price reduced.

  • @TheEvanCole well I'm assuming that it should be quite expensive...

  • @jainish007 Really depends on what you get with this actually. I bought a unlimited package from the Avalon hotel and it included one ride free and a second one at half price. Also almost everything on the island free or half off. And 50$ credit towards dinner each night at the Avalons bar and grill

  • i remember when i first saw "big daddy" i almost shit myself

  • @logicaljackieo0 its $113.00 per person...visit their website...something visitcatalinaisland(dot)com

  • My former employer, a 67 year old grandma, did this recently! NO WAY could I do it, but my hat's off to her!!!

  • Why are the dudes always named frank??
