Can you leave a baritone in standard tuning or drop d if your not really a heavy downtune player ?

@SavageDutchman you won't be able to get it to standard E tuning or or drop D, due to the scale length and string tension - I'd suggest you go for a standard Dead on 67 electric.

you can actually use a capo to get standard in a baritone guitar

i just bought this same guitar. strings 014-68, i tuned it to b-b but it felt too tight, string tension felt unhealthy :) so i dropped down to g-g and it felt much better, do you think my strings are too thick for this baritone? i would like to use b-b tuning, suits my music

@SavageDutchman you could just tune it to a lower pitch standard/drop tuning then use a capo at the fret where the low E or D is.
