Anyone Remember Lois Parsely in San Diego area...he played/worked for Baldwin Organ Co and made a record playing on the 210 D or bigger model? I miss him! He was most wonderful person God ever created!

You play quite well... Virgil Fox would be impressed, Claire Coche would think you weren't "rough enough" with the instrument, haha!

So did you get it?! I played for a church back in the early '80s that had a very similar Baldwin (Model 640). It had 16 channels of sound and a double ampliication system including a refrigerator-sized subwoofer cabinet. It had a nice sound but the console was very flimsy and cheaply made and I had a constant problem with drawknobs popping off.

Thats a Baldwin D620 Organ. I grew up playing on one in Iowa at a catholic church and its still there. The only problem it had is it would crackle sometimes when the weather was very humid.

Majestic to say the least. You can hear the quality is there even if the camera mic had a hard time keeping up with the sounds.

the room itself is such a critical part of the instrument, and it's easy for electronic organs to sound great in an accoustically live room. sadly it wouldn't work at my church :(
that pipe organ is untuned

@kjsimonUSMC It's not pipe..it's electronic. The out of tune perception you have probably comes from a combination of the acoustics, and the celeste strings which are intended to be slightly out of tune.

danielmkubacki: actually crescendo doesn't really have to do with air...it incrementally adds stops to the registration, and if used very gradually, can help create beautiful accents in a piece. It all depends on the organ builder and the order of the stops in the crescendo, and the organist using it correctly. For the purposes of this video, though, I was simply making sure everything worked.
