  • If the trains are going to stop at airports then they better have good, speedy connections into downtown.

  • Fact check: This is not Light Rail. Light Rail is like the DART rail system in Dallas and suburbs with "lighter" vehicles at slower speeds - Intercity rail is Heavy Rail that runs city to city at higher speeds.

    Addressing the report in general:

    While 200 mile per hour trains may be in our "future" and should be pursued, it is imperative to first build on what we now have and increase speeds to 90-110 miles per hour with more frequent service than one Amtrak train a day.
