VIDEO DESCRIPTION

Intense supercell with very large hail severely impacts areas around Burlington, Colorado. Video package shot along US-385 about 10-15 miles south of Burlington, Colorado in Kit Carson County.

Opening shots include during storm footage of golfball hail falling. POV shots driving in hail, including shot of hail covering road. Other shots include woman getting mail with hail beginning to fall and vehicle pulling off to the side of the road during the heavy storm.

Following shots are post storm of EMT escorting a woman and her baby into an awaiting ambulance. They were trapped by the storm and suffered very minor injuries due to shattered glass. They would be taken via ambulance back to the interstate, but were treated and released on-scene.

Next shots of vehicle damage and baseball hailstones, opening with shot of two giant hailstones with crater in vehicle windshield. Another nearby vehicle, a van, totally destroyed windshield from outside and inside the cab with glass on dashboard.

I know it's not a legal things, but an ethical thing. I hope you got those patients permission to videotape... if not does as you would want others to do and stay the hell out of the back of our ambulances.

I am from Burlington, I drove through that storm in a semi truck about 3 miles south of there, and what you had recorded didnt quite get the feeling that I had driving through it. I drove by that scene you had there on the side of the road. But the hail broke out the windshield on my truck, the one behind me, some of the lights, mirrors and the bug deflector, also dented up my trailer. on interstate 70 east of burlington, there were about 15 cars that had most all of the windows broke out...
