The film focuses the viewers attention towards Silicosis which is an occupational disease caused by exposure to very fine Silicon dust (0.5-5 µ). This disease destroys normal lung tissue. There is no treatment.
Alirajpur in Zabua District (Madhya Pradesh) is the place from where adivasi go to the silica powder making factories in neighbouring Gujrat. A tenure of two to three months of work in these thriving factories is sufficient to catch the decease! People in these region are dying at an alarming rate.
In the past two years 498 adivasi had a definite exposure to silica dust. Out of this158 are dead. 70 children below the age of 18 years who were affected out of whom 31 had died due to silicosis. Sadly, most of the faces you would see in the documentary shot a year ago, now do not exist.

  • Very Sad..Even a dig in Delhi is reported as BREAKING NEWS and such real agony issues remain out of bulletin. Thanks for Sharing It.

  • This is a very cool film, I managed to watch it free at: WATCHMOVIES4FREE (.) ORG

  • very sad.

  • And yes, thanks for making such a video and posting it. There are rare people who genuinely voice for such people on health issue.

  • Interesting video that made me sad. How some factory owners can be so greedy that they are ready to virtually kill innocent tribal like this? I wonder how highly corrupt Gujarat government's pollution control board and labor welfare department tolerate such a situation. They must be earning enough money through corruption from such killer factory owners. Instead of more tribal on deathbeds, more factory owners like these should be in the jail floor.
