  • The very best interpretation I so far have come across, about how uncreated all pervading consciousness works, and what it can do for human beings, is offered by someone called Shakyamuni Buddha, his valid personal yogic experiences being based on comparing his personal valid yogic experiences with the valid experiences of yoginis and yogins, people who practiced pre-historical, pre-patriarchal mind science methods to liberate the mind of dualism. Peace ...

  • @starsbydaylight

There is no such thing as 'valid personal experience' in science, meaning you made the term up. Dualism is mystical fairy tale nonsense, the mind is nothing more than an emergent property of the physical brain.

  • "Consciousness" is responsible for the brain, and everything else.

  • @MrPiperian

Bullshit, a rock is a rock whether anyone is conscious of it or not and physical changes to the brain directly affect consciousness proving it is entirely dependent on the physical, chemical, mechanical brain.

  • @FlyingFree333 without consciousness an external reality could not be inferred, since its constitutive of the external, which is the same as saying creative of. There is no thought-object unless it is co-substantiated by the subjective-thinking beholding it. This cannot be epistemologically invalidated. You have to think about a rock still being there, for it to still be there. You can pose it there without your observation, but the common denominator is your ideal only. Without which is nothing

  • The inferences that scientists draw from particular behaviors is perhaps more revealing of them, their cultural conditioning, etc than it is of their subjects. For instance, young babies may not CARE about the spot. The animals' response to the mirror likely reveals more of a dependance on senses other than sight, like smell!

  • @AAAjMMMiRRR Is that a joke? There is no way to measure consciousness. even if someone has no brain activity you can't prove there not conscious. Look at NDE's, people claim to be conscious when they have no brain activity, so what does science do denies it as a dilusion, or hallucination. Can't explain it so it doesn't exist? We live in a great age, we can't even trust each other.

  • Thanks for this vid! Very interesting.

  • @sunflower133731 exactly! not being able to recognize yourself does not mean you're not self-aware yet. Especially because the appearance of young children change so quickly and because they do not know what mirrors are.

  • Nonsense! I was conscious of myself by the time I was 6 months at least because that is the earliest memory I have.

  • Amateurs in the science of consciousness. They make me laugh!

  • The answer is 120 days after fertilization
