@CountVis , i suppose time will tell. As regards getting to London quicker than from Luton...!, having worked in S/End and travelled to and from, i know it is not quicker!. But as i say time will tell if this route is more viable than Galway/Luton
Regards.

@klipdriftpower Why not? It ill be quicker to get from Southend to london than from Luton. not to mention a lot easier. Travelling through Southend Airport is very much like travelling through Galway and Waterford. No hassle, friendly staff. Luton isn't exactly in London either, rather close to a city in Bedfordshire.

cant believe Aer Arann have stopped/reduced there flights to Luton on what was one of there best routes. And then to advertise Southend as London Southend.......!, will someone drop off a map into Aer Arran offices, they obviousley dont know where Southend is..!. Being a user of the Luton/Galway/Luton service i can say that I and anyone i have spoken to who used the Thur/Fri service and back on an early Mon moring service will not be using the Southend service.

@CaraccioloTours they take off on the small runway at cork no bother its amazing

It's because those planes are wafer-thin. Slightest thing makes them wobble like crazy

Galway is shit.
Knock is THE shit.

funny that carnmore, galway airport is in the middle of no where.

Ive always had a bumpy landing in Galway, its crosswinds on a small plane i think.
Galway has a very short runway.
It seems a little dangerous

I fly Cessnas regularly at Carnmore and this landing used a LOT of Rwy 26... all the way to the piano keys at the 08 end!.
