  • aww this was a cute routine =) I've never spun an air blade before. do they feel like rifles? lol

  • Thanks - You can totally spin it like a rifle, but it's wicked chunky. The rotation is different, too. Maybe my hands are just too small for it!

  • @CrimsonOmen407 Well this tidbit isn't an opinion, it's a fact. Originally, a military color guard would travel with a band that would play a patriotic song. This continued into civilian marching bands, and today, a marching band's color guard uses equipment descended from those of military color guard: flags, mock rifles, and mock sabres.

I'm sorry that you think its "disrespectful". Maybe you just need to open your mind-- otherwise it might suffocate.

  • we have air blades in the guard room at my school and i've alwwways wanted to screw around with one..... but ifanyone touches them they pratically lose their fingers and get their butts yelled at by our instructors xD

  • @CrimsonOmen407 Because in the marching season we guard the band's colors. If the marching band doesn't have a colorguard, it has no visual, therefore the colorguard is in charge of visuals and bringing the song to life to move the crowd, because some people get bored of watching a moving concert band. *No argument intended, I just wanted to answer your question.*

  • WTF... LORIN?!?! I think I know you... HOLY CRAP!

  • @CrimsonOmen407 not picking side between the two of you...but the ballet and props and yada yada is essentially an evolution, people were more attracted to the flowy non militaristic show style when it came to competitions. Heck even my own school marching band that was known world wide for its Marine style etiquette has fallen away from it, because kids no longer wanted to be apart of a military style'd marching band. Its a sad shame to see the long orange line fade away like it has.

  • pretty :) !!! very graceful and i love the movements

  • @TheSparkleFactory well thats all fine and dandy, but that still doesnt make sense why the bands color guard is basically ballet, but with props.

  • @BrittandChez how about we go back to my original point that it's disrespectful to military Color Guard. which was around first.

  • @TheSparkleFactory if you get your information from wiki, your opinion automatically doesnt matter

  • @CrimsonOmen407 Why would we change it? Because a couple of pissy military kids don't like it? You commented on this video first acting like a jerk. It really isn't THAT big of a deal that they have the same name
