Java J2EE Developer (Learn Trading Systems)

We are conducting a search for a Java developer to join our client working on large trading applications.

The ideal candidate will have between 3 and 5 years of strong Java development experience, working with a team and independently.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB Provide technical expertise in the analysis, design and implementation & support of complex Financial projects to including Java development, databases and enterprise wide business applications. This is a great opportunity to learn the trading business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Work closely with Business Analysts to design scalable solutions to problems. Provide support to existing applications

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

* 4+ years related work experience in Java Development JSP, Servlets, Struts, JSP, JSF, XML structures and parsers (DOM & SAX), OOD, HTML * Experience working with relational databases, Oracle, SQL Server * Experience developing n-tier applications * Understanding of web based technologies including browsers, HTML, XML, and CSS. * Understanding of web server configuration and functionality (WebSphere) * Ability to build technical designs from functional designs using industry- standard notation; specifically UML * Strong working knowledge of API's * Ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse teams
