Well done. Very helpful for absolute beginners, which is the target audience.

@killer2611 functional* apple spell check, now that's gay.

@killer2611 Why is windows gay? For daily use, windows is much better. Linux is mostly for developers and for people who want to use the tools that linux has to offer. Besides that, there is no other reason for you to run linux besides servers and the fact to show off (I guess that's a perfectly viable reason to use Linux) but aside, Linux doesnt actually run that well and isn't as fun tank as windows.

@Feanic, Who ever said do everything in a terminal? The terminal is the most powerful shell in ANY OS, including Windows, but it is not needed for everything. Many times the terminal is even a faster way of completing task and seeing the outcome displayed as you commanded. This is Y it is referred 2 as the Command Line. The GUI is the shell that falls short. Ever C or hear of anyone programming in a GUI? 4 real computing users use the terminal. It`s a great tool. Don`t fear it, learn @ use it.

Hi, a very nooby question which I haven' t figured out yet. (Don't flame me, please)
Why do everything in a terminal when using Linux? Isn't the GUI enough?

@deguijac000 on the top left of the screen you click on Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal, then drag to desktop. simpler way.

@deguijac000 on the top left of the screen you click on Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal, watch from 0.20 - 0.25 of the video, I show how to get a terminal. To get the terminal on your desktop, right click your desktop, click create launcher, make sure the type is application, name it Terminal, and the command is gnome-terminal, or you can just press [ctrl] [alt] t at the same time.
