Wow! It has been a while since I uploaded anything. I've been extremely busy w/ church, school, kids and music. Hopefully, I'll get a new drum vid up soon, but these are quicker and easier to make. Just a spontaneous cover of a song I've been working on. I've been trying to work more on my barre chords and so I thought this song might do the trick. Hope you enjoy the message and not the messenger of the song. I tried to play around with the audio track to "enhance" my "un-enhancable" voice. Enjoy and God bless!

LYRICS:
To the cross I look, to the cross I cling
Of its suffering I do drink
Of its work I do sing

For on it my Savior both bruised and crushed
Showed that God is love
And God is just

Chorus:
At the cross You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees, and I am
Lost for words, so lost in love,
Im sweetly broken, wholly surrendered

What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given
Through Christ crucified

Youve called me out of death
Youve called me into life
And I was under Your wrath
Now through the cross Im reconciled

Chorus:

In awe of the cross I must confess
How wondrous Your redeeming love and
How great is Your faithfulness

(2xs)
Chorus:

  • Beautiful cords bro

  • @IMakeItRain3s thanks

  • Lovely. I find playing songs with barre chords actually helps you learn them faster :D

  • thanks and you're right. I picked about 3 or 4 songs w/ barres in them and am determined to learn them better, faster. lol. I've also been experimenting w/ open D tuning which is very cool and easy for major chords but not easy w/ minor chords

  • So true. Im determined to learn them too. I think its important because Im auditioning for our youth groups worship team, and I only ever see the leader using barres so I think he wants me to be able to play them too!

I havent tried tunnings yet, too scared...

  • open d tuning is a lot of fun. you can strum all chords w/out any fingerings and it's d major. barre one finger on each fret and it's a major chord. no other fingers needed. tune you guitar like this starting w/ the low E: DADF#AD. you can always tune it back. really cool
