Yeah that's why they call it British Columbia and New England. America used to be very close to the U.K. in politics but now they are not friendly anymore. Yeah France is in that too. Even if you go throughout Africa you are going to encounter British accents and currency and French and currency even in Jamaica, look at Australia.
