erm...a leak is one thing but a sinking boat is a LITTLE bit different. No point in waiting till the wood expands as it absorbs water if the boat is going underwater...unless it's an U-boat :)

Because it is not supposed to be. If a movie is historically correct, it would be a documentary, not a movie.
