The followings are extracts from the book of Aristides Kolias (ARVANITES AND THE ORIGIN OF THE GREEKS) concerning ARBERESH of ITALY (publication 9th, Athens 1997)
...And in order to return, to the expatriates in Italy, Arvanites,we say that the Orthodox Arvanites of South Italy and Sicily kept their Greek consciousness

South Italy is the pariah of Italian state,where the poorness and mizery grows and where Arvanites-Greeks of south Italy pressed to solutions that they born conditions like these.

In 1875,created in South Italy a movement for the return of these Arvanites in Greece and first the dwellers of the village Bandesa with a letter to the Greek goverment asked their return

The Greek coverment with the low ΦΠΑ/1876 allowed their return and it put them at the villages Soulichoria of Trifilia

The example of the villagers of Bandesa,followed from other Arvanites too and they demand their return in their homeland but the Greek goverment deny to accept them back.Why?Their number was too high for the stamina and power of the poor Greek state,Mpiris said.

Arvanite-Greeks of South Sicily today speak Arvanitika and Greek and they keep the traditions of their Greek ancestry

Recently Greece expressed concern for these people that they have Greek blood in their veins,more Greek than this of many people of Greek territory.There,in South Italy,saved one of the most original Greek group of peoples

The citizens of Sicily and South Italy know that they are Greeks,but Arvanite Greeks,and this is something that it is difficult to be understand from those that handle the issue of their communication with the Hellenism and mainland Greece
CONCLUSION
This is the Hellinism of Italy,these are Arvanite Greeks of Italy
