Ron Morris on the Bill King show 9/25/2012. After writing a story claiming that head coach of the University of South Carolina, Steve Spurrier, "poached" Bruce Ellington from the Gamecock's basketball program, SOS made it known that he wouldn't tolerate stories based on fabrication. Ron is known to write consistently negative articles about South Carolina's football program, even though he writes for Columbia's flag ship newspaper, The State. After implying that SOS played a quarterback unnecessarily and with blatant disregard to player safety and against medical advice, (despite being cleared by all team doctors and trainers), Spurrier has opted to no longer field questions from reporters. In response, Ron has gone on the Bill King show to compare SOS's refusal to enable pot stirring journalism to the child abuse cover up at Penn State.
