I have never been able to do this jump, but after watching this video I got it within 10 minutes. Thanks a bunch!

harder in Quake 3, easy in quakelive :P

nice

I think the solution is to set pmove_fixed 0 if your playing localhost
-
@RyanJRA64Abella because i think defrag compensates for you not putting up a dedicated server. if u set up a dedicated server, then join it on vq3 u will be able to do that jump easy. i dont understand why this is the case but it is.

@pokerchobo QL is slightly slower then Q3. It's a tiny bit more difficult to do in QL, but by not so much

Why can I do this easy on Defrag with VQ3 physics easy, but not on VQ3 itself? Are they exactly the same?
-
im pretty sure there the same
A much better tutorial is to goto clanarena . org --> click on videos then watchthe 'hot video' in full screen, it's decent quality. It shows alot about the movement along with commands. Suitable for beginners and decent players :D

What's that arrow indicator moving horizontally respect to the crosshair? Which HUD are you using?

You need a mod called Defrag. You can display loads of different options on your hud. I only ever played it on localhost so remember their are recommended settings for that to get 125 fps

I'm already using it ;-)
Does it display the current acceleration, like with df_hud_cgaz?

if you type /info it shows all the things you can enter into the blank 'info type' settings.. just put in the number. If you goto CHS then click through the menus i think the second or third shows the arrow display. When I started playing i didnt realise there was more than one page to each menu selection :D
