Turn off the Lights

Finally, the long awaited first single by A.J. Ow has arrived. Recorded in the gear locker (janitor's closet/recording studio) across from my room at the U.S.S. Halsey in Great Lakes, IL. This tune is called "Turn off the lights". It's about a young seaman apprentice's struggle for sleep from the treachery that is the loud roommate who has no regard for anyone but himself and his 5am wake-up schedule. I wrote this the morning before my 22nd birthday. It came to be that this song was written by a brief typical fight between a roommate that ended with his comeback of "why don't you just write a song about it", and so I did. As a sign that the song was meant to be, the very moment I hit save when I was done with all of the lyrics, the roommate(of whom which inspired this song) walks in the door and flicks on the lights. This one goes out to anyone who has had to struggle with living with someone so unbearable in your life, that you might be forced to slain them. If so, good luck.
