  • Great,

Is it possible to make such a machine to throw two dices?

  • @nvedia

Playing dice? Yeah sure, depends on how you want to throw them. If you are looking for consistancy, example: like to try and win at craps would be more difficult then just randomly throwing them but not impossible.

I can say it will be easier to throw dice then it would be a disc as done in this machine.

  • Very impressive... but it throw a hammer? Seriously, I didn't notice either one and that would be awesome!

  • @hib73 it could throw it actually but we did not set it up for it, but as discovery channel found out the machine is destroyed now.

  • @hib73 we didnt make it reload, but it would be possible. The music is modest mouse - float on

  • So you have a suction cup, pump out the air so the disc sticks, then release the pressure upon the throw?

  • Yes, to be able to modify the angle of attack, and launch angle, launch speed and rotational disc speed independently, it was one of the few ways to do this. We had a solenoid hooked up to the launch circuit, this particular one would switch the flow direction to fill cup and the frisbee would launch.

  • @kcleven

    yes you are right

This is for the craps experiment. how to get started?

  • love the music, who's it by? If you could make it re load automatically, it would be grate for practice.

  • We created a launching circuit that used a magnetic sensor. When you pushed the button to launch: based on the arm throw speed it would not release the disc until it was in the position to fire forward.
