If I'm not mistaken this is part of the renowned 1958 Sofia recital, a truly remarkable piece of music making by anyone's standards. For Lizst fans, Richter's 'Harmonies du Soir' from the same concert is surely unsurpassed.

I suggest an ear transplant for marcelmombeekpiano and fr3d420
-
@marcelmombeekpiano Marcel toch!
-
@marcelmombeekpiano yeah that must be the reason why Glenn Gould, Horowitz, Rubinstein and Shostakovich liked him. If you dont like Richter then don't even bother watching.
-
fr3d420: I feel sorry for you
-
lol,in the seconde etude etude he plays as fast as possible but nobody like,here is reversed XD
-
No other pianist can play better than Richter on this piece :]
-
kinda sounds like shit if you ask me.

THE BEST RECORD!!!!!!!!!

This is soooooooo much better than his performance of the 10th etude.
I love Lazar Berman's Listz so much but here Richter is unreachable!!!!

This is one of the greatest recorded performances in the history of piano playing. Miraculous, speed, delicacy, and taste!
