Visiting pier, had to watch guy cleaning his just caught 8' shark. Notice the heart still beating after being removed. Of course this young man ate the heart after finishing the cleaning.

sharkvolunteer thats me and my shark. might wanna check your facts threshers are perfectly legal to keep here in ca. just as long as no more than 2 are kept per day. they are beneficial as every fish is as also. i release most everything i catch unless it will not survive. so get ur facts right before u start talking crap. im a avid fisherman and go by the book. so go hug your tree and pull ur foot out of your mouth before you speak.

Why would a fishermen (supposed to have knowledge about the ocean and marine life) kill a thresher shark? It's a protected species and highly valuable for the ecosystem. This kind of shark fishing is stupid.

We caught one the same size recently.... we let it go because it was a BABY! To each there own though.. I mean it is a legal catch. All I can do is ask that you(anyone reading this) let the little ones go in the future.
