2009 Pontiac G8 GXP. Pontiac was once revered for its iconic performance cars like the GTO but its recent offerings have been plagued with tacky body cladding and overblown "sporty" design details. Thankfully, General Motors' Bob Lutz took a hatchet to the flawed designs and brought in Holden, an Australian division of GM, to help rebuild the style of these performance-driven cars. There is no better representative of Pontiac's design revolution than the new G8 GXP. Gone are the side strakes and large spoilers of years past, leaving behind sleek bodylines and only subtle hints to the power that lies under the hood. A new front fascia, with large twin port grilles and air intakes, houses the same LS3 6.2-liter 402-horsepower V8 engine that propels the Chevy Corvette. Other new design elements include 19-inch high-polished aluminum wheels, chrome accents including quad exhaust tips and an understated rear spoiler. Click on the Video below to watch Pontiac's Doug Houlihan show kbb.com's Jack R. Nerad around the new Pontiac G8 GXP. • For your information, the name of the company is GM Holden Ltd. and it is owned by General Motors, a US company. It is a subsidiary of General Motors since 1931.

  • What's with the bullshit about Pontiac building this car? Pontiac designed this, Pontiac designed that!!

The whole damn car is designed & built in Australia. It is a rebadged SS Commodore converted to LHD, with the HSV spec engine & a few design alterations (all carried out by Holden).

A bullshit review that gives no credit to the REAL people & company resppnsible for this car. "We built this car in Adelaide, Australia." You didn't build shit. Holden built it.

  • Woooooop. I have this car :D

  • @fraud66 you are fuckin retarded this car is Australian the only thing american about it is the engine thats it period and this car is half the price of an M3 and on top off that if you took the money you saved and did some work under the hood (turbo, cai, cam etc.) it would shit all over that faggot ass m3

  • @fraud66 So its a shit car because it costs less than an M3? I never knew thats what qualifys a good car from a bad one. So the Corvette ZR1 is complete shit to because it costs 1/4 of what a Ferrari does and yet it can beat it in a track race or drag race? I mean really dont compare the M3 to the G8.... How about the M3 is a shit car because its a poor mans Cadillac CTS-V.

  • @fpvshitsonhsv, you dumb fuck. Pontiac is owned by GM. GM is an American company. I don't care about the homos and yuppies in your country. This G8 and all Pontiacs are shit cars. You got any more to say about M3s?

  • @donnis618 The sad thing is all of the GXP line cars Pontiac made didn't save them. Give it some time and people would know how good cars they are.

  • @fraud66 Well its Australian and only homo's and yuppies drive M3's in Australia

  • im going to get me one used. best pontiac ever made

  • beautiful car
