This video demonstrates the video quality of the Contour HD 1080p when it is mounted to my bicycle helmet. On the left is the unfiltered footage from the camera and on the right is the stabilized footage after being fed through vReveal. Watching my Nite Rider light (bottom right of the frame) gives a good impression of how much the vReveal filter is actually doing to stabilize the scene. Unfortunately the Contour uses a CMOS senor so it is subject to rolling shutter distortions which are evident when I pan my head quickly at stop signs.
The source video was filmed at 1080p at 30fps. Record date: 2010/08/06
@WokingTrafficSafety yes, I used the high quality settings on the camera when I filmed this. That means it was filmed in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.
It's very easy to use, but if your hands get sweaty it can be a bit tough to start/stop filming which is controlled by a large slide toggle. I'd definitely recommend it overall.

That's a big difference. Did you use the premium version for HD quality? Is it easy to use?
