Recorded on January 9, 2007. The video begins as we takeoff in a small plane from the Hobart International Airport. There are spectacular views of Australia's island state as we fly over downtown Hobart, the Huon Valley, Federation Peak and Bathurst Harbour. We land at the small landing strip in the Southwest World Heritage National Park. After a boat trip on Bathurst Harbour it is back in the air for the return flight to Hobart, this time by the scenic coastal route.

Nice. I have done this trip, but the commentary was wrong in that the take off and landing were out of Cambridge airport not Hobart international.. Thanks for posting this, brings back happy memories.

Great video of one of the GREAT flights that take you into Melaleuca airstrip in Tasmania's South West World Heritage area. I have flown into this spot on many occasions. A tiny correction, the airstrip is Cambridge Airport, used by light aircraft, not Hobart International Airport which although nearby is a totally separate entity.
