"clay pidgeon shooting encourages youth crime", what utter shite. how many youths who commit crime have done clay shoots? and her son was killed by a 9mm pistol in 2004, 6 years AFTER the handgun ban. so, from her own example, gun control in this country has not worked. how stupid and blind is she? its unbelievable. these people are the white noise that drowns out the voice of common sense, simple as.

As people have said, even though they want a total gun ban, that will only affect LAW ABIDING CITIZENS... Criminals won't give a toss about a ban, there's a thing called the black market... oh all the illegal guns there... No doubt miss copes son was shot with an illegal firearm...

@GanzZulu She was also on an episode of 'The One Show' on BBC1, where they were talking about lowering the minimum age for kids who could use a shotgun for clay shooting. According to her = "Clay pigeon shooting encourages youths to commit gun crime", "Guns are a weapon of mass destruction in ANYONE's hands" "It's the bullets that kill" "Whoever these people are, they are wrong to take this as a sport". I bet you all my money that if her son was not shot, she wouldn't hate firearms at all.
