Arizona Democratic Party Legislators and the AFL-CIO held a public forum in Tucson on February 17, 2012 to allow unionists and supporters to voice their opinions on anti-union and anti-civil service legislation proposed by Republican Legislators and Governor Jan Brewer. A crowd of more than 150 heard union leaders and rank-and-file members vow to fight back. State Representatives Steve Farley, Bruce Wheeler, Sally Ann Gonzales, Macario Saldate and State Senators Paula Aboud, Olivia Cajero-Bedford, and Linda Lopez made up the all-Democrat panel. No Southern Arizona Republican Legislators attended.
