  • Can you tell me if what you called the 'neutral side' of the circuit is what is sometimes called the 'return circuit'?

    Can you also explain how the clamp can measure the current through the wires without actually making a connection with them? Is it measuring the magnetic field which exists in concentric rings around a current carrying conductor?

    You can do this with any voltage, but higher the voltage the higher the chance of injuring or killing yourself. I'd leave the mains electricity to the electricians ;-)
